Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Retirement Operations leader responsible for onboarding new business, client transitions, and offshore/vendor governance. You will oversee multifunctional operations teams and drive operational excellence to deliver customer‑centric service.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience, 10 years of retirement plan experience, and proven business operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 10+ years retirement plan experience.
• Strong leadership in operations.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Experience working with external clients in sales/support/relationship management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies for onboarding new business and client transitions.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure timely service delivery.
• Govern offshore and third‑party service providers with performance and quality oversight.
• Lead Large Market and Mid Market conversion activities and ensure successful outcomes.
• Ensure quality, reporting, training, and operational results for all new business ops.
• Manage budgets and resources for optimal allocation.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing teams.
• Identify opportunities for improvement across Operations and report to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve performance and risk management.
