Job summary

Xanterra, based in Columbia Falls, Montana, leads Glacier National Park Lodges retail operations with a focus on guest experience and exceptional hospitality. The Director oversees shops, general stores, grab‑and‑go outlets, and central distribution, ensuring strong merchandising and inventory control across a park-wide network.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with managers, corporate leadership, vendors, suppliers, and NPS personnel.
• Minimum of five years of progressive retail management experience in a high-volume, multi-unit retail environment; experience with food service is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Retail, Hospitality, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the day‑to‑day operation of Glacier National Park retail outlets and distribution operations.
• Oversee inventory control, merchandising, pricing, labor, and guest service.
• Travel regularly to dispersed park locations to support operations across multiple properties.
• Ensure compliance with NPS concession requirements and company standards.
• Develop and manage the annual Retail operating and financial plan and monitor KPIs.
