Overview

We are a contemporary fashion label specializing in elevated knitwear and ready-to-wear collections, with two flagship stores in New York City and plans for future expansion. Our products blend timeless craftsmanship with modern design, attracting a discerning clientele and influential stylists. The Director of Retail will be based in New York, NY, providing hands‑on leadership to store teams, optimizing day‑to‑day operations, and advancing private client development. This role will also oversee inventory management, staffing strategy, and selected wholesale and trunk show initiatives. You will partner with store managers to elevate in‑store experiences, strengthen stylist relationships, and drive sustained retail growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and support to store managers across the retail network.
• Drive clientelling strategies and private client development to enhance loyalty and sales.
• Build and deepen relationships with stylists and key external partners.
• Oversee store‑level execution, including staffing, recruiting, training, onboarding, and scheduling.
• Optimize inventory flow and management across stores and the warehouse.
• Partner with HR and management on staffing strategy, talent acquisition, and team development.
• Maintain a regular in‑store presence, at least weekly, to energize teams and monitor performance.
• Support select trunk shows, wholesale events, and cross‑channel activations.
• Uphold brand standards and represent the company credibly across all customer touchpoints.

Requirements

• 5+ years of multi‑unit retail management experience in fashion or luxury goods.
• Proven track record in clientelling, private client development, and stylist relationship management.
