Job summary

Sage Specialty Hospital LTAC in Opelousas, LA seeks a Director of Respiratory to lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Department. You will develop policies, ensure compliance, and provide Staff in-service on safety and quality assurance.

Requires an accredited respiratory program, Louisiana CRT or RRT, and 5 years of management experience. Competitive compensation with ESOP, retirement plan, and comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited respiratory program with national credentials.
• Current Louisiana CRT or RRT certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in respiratory care.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Department.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with regulatory, accreditation, state and local requirements.
• Provide in-service for staff on safety, infection control, and quality assurance.
• Work with Administration on budgeting, staffing, long-range planning, and departmental contributions.
• Participate in committees and manage payroll for the Respiratory Department.

The Director of Respiratory plans directs organizes leads and coordinates the day to day operation of the Respiratory Department HeShe develops and implements policies and procedures which are consistent with regulatory accreditation state and local requirements; and provides in service for staff to include safety infection control and quality assurance; works with Administration to develop long range planning budgeting staffing contributes and participates in all committees as well as the management of employees and payroll for the Respiratory Department

Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program with national credentials Current certification as a CRT or RRT in LouisianaCurrent Basic Life Support CPR card5 years management experience in respiratory careEffective management organizational analytical problem solving and communication skills
