Job summary

Sage Specialty Hospital LTAC in Opelousas, LA seeks a Director of Respiratory to lead daily operations, policy development, and staff education. This senior role requires oversight of regulatory compliance and collaboration with Administration on budgeting and staffing.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited respiratory program degree, LA CRT or RRT credentials, BLS CPR, and at least 5 years of management experience in respiratory care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program with national credentials.
• Current certification as a CRT or RRT in Louisiana.
• Current Basic Life Support CPR.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Department.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures in line with regs and accreditation.
• Provides in-service training for staff including safety, infection control, and quality assurance.
• Partners with Administration on long-range planning, budgeting, staffing and payroll.

The Director of Respiratory plans directs organizes leads and coordinates the day to day operation of the Respiratory Department HeShe develops and implements policies and procedures which are consistent with regulatory accreditation state and local requirements; and provides in service for staff to include safety infection control and quality assurance; works with Administration to develop long range planning budgeting staffing contributes and participates in all committees as well as the management of employees and payroll for the Respiratory Department

Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program with national credentials Current certification as a CRT or RRT in LouisianaCurrent Basic Life Support CPR card5 years management experience in respiratory careEffective management organizational analytical problem solving and communication skills
