Job summary

Rise & Shine is seeking a dynamic Director of Programs to lead residential services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will oversee program quality, licensing compliance, and staff development while working with executive leadership and families to ensure person-centered care.

The role requires a proactive, compassionate leader who can balance empathy with accountability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with individuals with disabilities or related field.
• Leadership and staff development skills to guide teams.
• Knowledge of residential program operations and licensing requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned residential programs to ensure safety, organization, and person-centered care.
• Mentor and coach Program Managers, Supervisors, and QA Coordinators to promote leadership and accountability.
• Review audits, staffing, training needs, documentation, compliance, and client support in regular meetings.
• Ensure all audits, licensing, support documentation, and records are accurate and timely.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, and address compliance issues proactively.
• Collaborate with HR on staff development, investigations, and performance management.
• Lead training initiatives and policy updates to strengthen operations.
• Maintain relationships with families, county partners, vendors, and community stakeholders.
