Job summary

Rising Ground in the Bronx, NY, seeks a Director of Residential Services to lead multiple I/DD residential programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage program budgets. This senior role reports to the Vice President and requires a strong commitment to person-centered, quality of life for adults served.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MSW preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of related experience, including 4+ years in a supervisory position overseeing multiple sites.
• Current, valid, and clean driver’s license.
• Ability to develop and maintain budgets for residential programs.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills; interpret complex documents and data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; present to senior leadership and regulators.
• Commitment to person-centered, inclusive services for the population served.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor residential programs for adults with I/DD.
• Ensure adherence to OPWDD regulations and standards.
• Oversee budgets and supervise program leadership across multiple sites.
• Coordinate with Clinical, Finance, HR, and other departments and agencies.
• Conduct monthly observations and unannounced visits to residences.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to staff and supervise staff development.
