West State Street seeks a Director of Recreation Services in Virginia to design engaging resident activities and lead a compassionate team. You will oversee program development, assessments, and volunteer coordination to enhance quality of life for residents.

The role emphasizes collaborative care planning with the interdisciplinary team, staff development, and strong community relations to support on-site and off-site events. Health and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• ADC or CTRS certification required or eligible.
• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation preferred or equivalent management course.
• At least 2 years of social or recreational programming experience in the past 5 years, including 1 year in healthcare activities.
• Clinical credential: OT or OTA is acceptable.

Responsabilités

• Design & implement a diverse calendar of resident activities tailored to preferences and care goals.
• Lead recreation staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative team culture.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized activity plans with care team.
• Coordinate community relations and family events to enrich on-site and off-site programs.
