Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Director of Reporting to lead external reporting and data dissemination. You will ensure timely submissions to UNC System, state and federal agencies, and publish information for stakeholders.

The role oversees development of standardized reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, coordinating across units, with a focus on data governance, quality, and impact on university planning and policy decisions. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Post-Baccalaureate degree or equivalent; bachelor’s + 3+ years accepted.
• Strong experience with data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and SQL-based systems.
• Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, and BI dashboard tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee external reporting obligations to UNC System, state, and federal agencies.
• Develop standardized reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Coordinate data collection across units and ensure data governance.
• Lead and mentor a team supporting reporting and data management.
