Job summary

Monroe Health & Rehab Center in Virginia is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation to organize, develop, and lead the Rehabilitation Service Department in line with federal, state and local standards. The role aims to restore residents to optimal physical function and achieve therapy goals, while upholding infection control and quality care practices.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and current license as a therapist or therapist assistant granted from the state of employment.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a therapy role in a hospital, rehabilitation community or other related healthcare community, preferably in long term care.

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct the Rehabilitation Service Department to meet applicable standards and regulations.
• Work to return residents to optimal physical function and achieve therapy goals with the treatment team.
• Ensure compliance with health, sanitary and infection control policies and procedures.

Position Summary:

As the Director of Rehabilitation, it is your responsibility to organize, develop, manage, and direct the overall operations of the Rehabilitation Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. The Director of Rehabilitation will seek to return the resident to the optimal physical function and facilitate achievement of resident, Physician, and therapy goals. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Rehabilitation Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:
