Description

  1. Supervise and guide all therapy personnel, including licensed, registered, certified therapists, assistants, aides, and students within an assigned facility.
  2. Manage daily scheduling for the department staff to meet facility needs.
  3. Provide direct care and collaborate with supervisors to determine appropriate caseloads, ensuring rehabilitation needs of residents are met.
  4. Review therapy services periodically and update programs to adapt to changing environments.
  5. Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards related to rehabilitation services.
  6. Maintain complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation reflecting services provided.
  7. Conduct periodic reviews of department documentation.
  8. Coordinate denials management activities to ensure claims and appeals are timely and comply with company procedures.
  9. Meet or exceed productivity standards established with supervisors.
  10. Ensure high-quality service delivery that meets practice standards.
  11. Implement new treatment programs and monitor outcomes, adjusting plans of care as necessary.
  12. Follow established policies and procedures of the facility and company.
  13. Approve timecards and monitor time worked by department personnel.
  14. Provide evaluation input for department employees and foster relationships with local hospitals and referral sites.
  15. Attend and participate in facility and company meetings.
  16. Promote safe work practices among staff, emphasizing body mechanics, safety, and judgment to minimize injuries.
  17. Organize rehabilitation orientation for new staff, ensuring timely completion of paperwork.
  18. Complete billing documentation accurately and promptly.
  19. Recommend improvements for company services and operations.
  20. Travel as necessary to reach assigned destinations within a reasonable timeframe.
  21. Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information.
  22. Identify personal development needs and participate in training and continuing education.
  23. Identify potential leaders and new sources of business, promoting a positive attitude within staff and the community.
Supervisory Requirements

Supervise PT/OT/SP therapists, assistants, aides, and students.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech Language Pathology; Master's or Doctorate preferred.

Skills: Proficient in computer programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care.

Language Skills

Ability to read technical procedures, policies, and respond effectively to questions from managers, coworkers, and families.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.

Certificates and Licenses

Licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech Language Therapist in the state; CPR certification; ongoing education compliance.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, and sensory activities; ability to exert significant force; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling.

Work Environment

Low to moderate noise level; accommodations available for disabilities.
