Join to apply for the Director of Rehab (Full-Time) role at Independence Rehab.

Thank you for considering our Director of Rehab position for our Portland area buildings: Deerfield Village in Milwaukie, Royalton Place in Milwaukie, and Regency Park in Portland. This is a salaried position with eligibility for a monthly bonus.

At Independence Rehab, our goal in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) is to provide each patient with top-quality care. We aim to maximize each patient's functional independence to safely discharge them to the next level of care.

Job Duties
  • Oversee the entire therapy department, including part-time, full-time, and PRN staff members.
  • Attend regular facility multi-disciplinary management meetings.
  • Manage relationships with facility leadership/administration.
  • Interview and hire therapy staff in cooperation with Recruiting.
  • Create work schedules for the therapy team.
  • Manage department revenues and expenses to ensure sustainable profitability.
  • Represent the company with patient family members and friends.
  • Carry a regular patient caseload with a minimum of 50% productivity (expectations vary by facility size).
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and guidelines.
  • Train the therapy team on policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
Education/Experience Required
  • Prior DOR experience preferred but not required.
  • Sincere love and concern for the geriatric population.
  • Driven, teachable, detail-oriented, organized.
  • Current therapist license in good standing in the state.
  • Minimum one year of experience treating patients in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private-pay reimbursement guidelines (PDPM).
  • Confident in leading and motivating others.

Salary: $85,000 per year.
