Job summary

CPS Inc. is seeking a Director of Research & Development to lead technical product development for our core portfolio and future adjacencies.

The role owns material science, product design, and claims substantiation from concept through commercialization, partnering with suppliers, co-manufacturers, and medical advisors to ensure products deliver comfort, absorbency, and clean ingredients. You’ll work with the Senior Director of Innovation on product initiatives and sit on a cross‑functional

Qualifications

• Minimum BS to PhD in Material Science, Chemistry, Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of R&D experience in absorbent hygiene or related consumer products.
• Hands-on depth in nonwovens, absorbent core design, superabsorbent materials, plastics/injection molding, and organic/natural fiber sourcing.
• Experience with US regulatory landscape for menstrual products (FDA medical device requirements for tampons, pads, liners).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical product strategy and roadmap for the 3-year pipeline.
• Translate concepts into actionable product briefs and consult on material selection and design.
• Oversee lab evaluations and translate data into defensible product claims.
• Coordinate with suppliers and co-manufacturers through development lifecycle.
• Ensure documentation and testing support regulatory submissions and certifications.
