Job summary

First Quality seeks a Product Development Manager for First Quality Products in McElhattan, PA to drive end-to-end product development for absorbent hygiene products. Requires 7+ years in medical product development and a BS in Science/Engineering (MS/PhD preferred).

Will travel domestically and internationally to sites, conferences, and suppliers. The role directs cross-functional activities, collaborates with Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, and Legal, and supports profitability through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering; MS or PhD preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of medical product development or related experience, preferably in absorbent hygiene products.
• Knowledge of hygiene markets, products, competition, consumers, trends.
• Knowledge and use of Probability and Statistical Inference.
• Knowledge and use of Design of Experiments.
• Knowledge of Patents/Trademarks related to absorbent products.

Responsibilities

• Leads a cross-functional team to plan, develop, and implement product improvements from Operations through to the Marketplace.
• Investigates new technologies (materials & equipment) for absorbent products.
• Negotiates price, quality, and service with vendors with Purchasing.
• Collaborates with Marketing to plan, conduct, analyze, and interpret consumer/market studies.
• Plans and analyzes product use tests to benchmark performance.
• Provides market intelligence on patents/trademarks/industry news.
