Job summary

Astro Shapes LLC in Struthers, OH, seeks a Director of Quality to own quality strategy across all plants. This leadership role standardizes quality practices for extrusion, finishing, and fabrication, maintains the QMS with ISO 9001, and serves as the primary quality voice to customers.

You will lead quality teams across sites, drive supplier quality, and partner with Operations, Engineering and EHS on launches and capital decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy or Materials Science.
• 10+ years quality experience in heavy or metals manufacturing with 5+ years leading cross-site quality teams.
• Proven ownership of an ISO 9001 quality system and audits.
• Strong problem-solving and statistical tools (8D, 5-Why, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Executive presence with customers and leadership; data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set the company-wide quality strategy, goals and KPIs and report results.
• Own the ISO 9001 QMS and audits.
• Lead plant Quality Managers and their teams across multiple sites.
• Standardize inspection, testing and release across plants.
• Serve as executive contact for customer quality and audits.
• Lead CAPA and root-cause analysis on significant issues.
