Job summary

Astro Shapes LLC seeks a Quality Manager to lead daily quality operations across the plant, ensuring each extrusion meets print and finish specs. You will own inspection, lab release, and corrective actions with Operations to fix root causes on the source line.

You will supervise Quality Engineers and Lab Technicians across shifts, drive calibration, audits, and KPI tracking, and partner with processing departments to ensure first-article approvals and process control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing plant.
• 2+ years supervising people.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, SPC and gauge/MSA practices.
• Ability to read prints and apply GD&T and dimensional tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, train and coach Quality Engineers, Technicians and Lab Technicians across all shifts.
• Inspect and release product to print; own hold, disposition and MRB decisions for nonconforming material.
• Investigate customer complaints and returns; lead 8D/root-cause teams and deliver corrective actions.
• Maintain QMS compliance; lead internal audits and support external audits.
• Track and report plant quality KPIs and lead improvement projects.
