Job summary

Upside Innovations seeks a Director of Quality to lead and continuously improve our quality systems at the West Chester, OH headquarters. You will drive a formal preventive action program, oversee CAPA, and manage the Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001, including welding quality oversight and cost of quality metrics.

You will lead a three-inspector team, collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to prevent defects and improve customer satisfaction at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing or a technical field.
• 8+ years of quality experience in manufacturing, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
• Welding knowledge is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a formal preventive action program to identify risks and prevent defects.
• Own CAPA process from issue capture to verification and closure.
• Define and manage the Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001.
• Lead welding quality activities, including welder qualification and QC oversight.
• Manage cost of quality metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
• Oversee supplier quality, qualification, and incoming inspection.
• Direct and develop a team of three Quality Inspectors and drive performance.
