Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of machining, welding, manufacturing, and shipping operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems preferred.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations across second shift departments to support efficient production and on-time delivery.
• Provide direction, training, and support to production employees and shop personnel.
• Assist with coordinating production schedules and workflow to meet customer demands and maximize efficiency.
• Operate machines to complete workorders as needed to support production.
• Move material and kit jobs to maintain an organized, efficient workflow.
• Monitor daily production performance and help identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
• Promote a positive and productive work environment through teamwork, communication, and accountability.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Work closely with quality and operations teams to maintain product quality standards.
• Participate in safety meetings and help identify and address potential safety concerns within the shop.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels of materials, tools, and supplies needed for production.
• Communicate equipment or maintenance concerns to appropriate teams to minimize production disruptions.
• Assist with implementing process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives to improve overall shop performance.
• Help train and onboard new employees in company procedures, safety standards, and job responsibilities.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the shop.
