Position Overview:

We are seeking a Director, Quality Assurance to lead our QA function within the Technology Department. You will ensure our products meet quality standards and shape the future strategy for the QA department to support growth without compromising quality. Your leadership will influence key performance indicators related to growth, retention, and customer satisfaction, with autonomy to shape the QA organization aligned with Trella’s expansion plans.

Location: Remote - US, with preferred locations in Atlanta GA, Jacksonville FL, Nashville TN, and Philadelphia PA

Reports to: Chief Technology Officer

Responsibilities include:

• Architecting and implementing comprehensive QA strategies to ensure product quality while enabling rapid development.
• Leading and inspiring a global QA team to uphold excellence and innovation, driving testing solutions and high performance at scale.
• Collaborating with engineering to integrate quality into the development process from planning through delivery, emphasizing automation and security in CI/CD pipelines.
• Defining KPIs & SLAs to measure QA effectiveness and fostering continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
• Identifying bottlenecks and opportunities, monitoring processes, and implementing improvements.
• Promoting automation to accelerate regression testing and exploring AI applications to enhance quality and resource management.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience testing cloud-based SaaS products with web and mobile interfaces in Agile environments.
• Leadership experience managing global teams of QA professionals, both manual and automated.
• Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, automation, and CI/CD best practices.
• Proficiency with industry-standard QA tools and automation frameworks.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
• A problem-solving mindset with curiosity and attention to detail.
• Experience with healthcare regulations like HIPAA and handling PHI is preferred.
