Director of Quality – Summary

• Directs the Quality Program, including regulatory compliant operations and the effectiveness of quality assessment and performance improvement for all hospitals in their region.
• Collaborates with regional Quality Directors to share, deploy and align best practice processes to drive and sustain clinical excellence goals across the health system.
• Works with physicians and leaders to develop and sustain a robust clinical documentation improvement program and medical record integrity across regional areas of responsibility.
• Provides leadership and guidance to managers, identifying patterns or trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Oversees regulatory readiness activities and coordinates with system VP Clinical Excellence on medical staff peer review activities.
• Manages regional operational, budgetary and financial responsibilities and activities.
• Evaluates performance and professional development of direct reports and ensures achievement of measurable performance goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Experience:

• 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting
• 2 years of quality or performance improvement activity
• 4 years in management

Required Education:

• Master’s degree – Nursing, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration (preferred)

Required Certification:

• CPHQ (within 1 year) – Required
• Registered Nurse (preferred)

This position will oversee the following hospitals:

• BayCare Wesley Chapel Hospital
• St. Joseph's Hospital Main
• St. Joseph's Hospital Women's & Children's
• St. Joseph's Hospital North
• St. Joseph's Hospital South

Location: Tampa, Florida

Status: Full Time, Exempt: Yes

Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
