Job summary

BayCare seeks a Director of Ambulatory Surgery Centers to lead planning, policy, and priority setting for its outpatient surgery centers within the Greater Tampa Bay area. The role ensures policies align with system goals and regulatory standards while maintaining cost-effective, high-quality care.

The position requires 5 years in surgical-related work and 5 years of management experience. A Bachelor's in Nursing or healthcare field is required, with a Master's preferred; RN or CASC is required

Qualifications

• RN or CASC credential required; CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning, policy development, and priority setting for all BayCare Outpatient Surgery Centers.
• Ensure outpatient surgical services have policies aligned with system goals.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in care provision.
• Maintain a competent workforce adhering to regulatory guidelines (AHCA/JCAHO).
• Collaborate with directors, administrators, medical staff, and departments to provide cost-effective services.
• Promote evidence-based clinical care and clinical excellence.

Director of Ambulatory Surgery Centers Summary

• Participate in planning, policy development, and priority setting for all BayCare Outpatient Surgery Centers.
• Ensure that Outpatient Surgical Services and other assigned clinical areas have policies that are consistent with the overall goals of the health system.
• Ensure compliance in the provision of care to quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a competent workforce adhering to regulatory guidelines (financial, employment, AHCA/JCAHO, and established national standards of care).
• Collaborate with other directors, administrators, medical staff, and departments to provide and maintain optimal services in a cost-effective manner.
• Promote evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Experience

• 5 years of surgical-related experience
• 5 years of management experience or 3 years of surgery management experience

Education

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field
• Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field

Credentials

• Required: Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC)
• Required: Valid Florida Driver's License
• Preferred: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
