Job summary

Cooper Tacia, a NC-based general contractor, seeks a Director of QA/QC to lead a companywide QA/QC program modeled after USACE. You will train staff, create field inspection forms, and ensure compliance on major projects across the Southeast.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in construction, 5+ in QA/QC leadership with a GC, and experience with USACE Three-Phase QC. Procore/Bluebeam and EM 385-1-1 knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years in construction with at least 5 years in QA/QC leadership at a General Contractor.
• USACE Three-Phase QC System knowledge and up-to-date CQM-C certification.
• Experience with Lean construction and training teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a written QA/QC program modeled after USACE.
• Train project personnel and enforce QA/QC across teams.
• Audit QA/QC documentation for compliance and effectiveness.
• Lead QC meetings with subcontractors and field personnel.
• Promote Lean construction practices and continuous improvement.
• Hire and develop QA/QC staff.
• Attend site visits to perform inspections.
