Job summary

The Peninsula Beverly Hills is seeking a senior procurement leader to drive the hotel’s purchasing strategy and operations. Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting, cost analysis, inventory management, and contract negotiations.
• Highly organized and analytical leader with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, luxury environment.
• Strategic and solutions-oriented decision-maker who can implement purchasing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, Culinary, Rooms, Engineering, Spa, and other departments to understand needs and ensure purchasing supports operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiencies, strengthen inventory management, and maximize value without compromising quality.
• Establish and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, controls, and best practices for compliance, sustainability, and responsible procurement.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the hotel’s purchasing strategy and day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring the timely sourcing and delivery of products and services that meet The Peninsula’s exacting standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing, favorable terms, quality standards, and service levels.
• Partner closely with Finance, Culinary, Rooms, Engineering, Spa, and other departments to understand business needs, anticipate requirements, and ensure purchasing decisions support operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiencies, strengthen inventory management, and maximize value without compromising quality or the guest or employee experience.
• Establish and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, controls, and best practices that support compliance, financial accountability, sustainability, and responsible procurement.

General Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment, with demonstrated success managing complex purchasing operations.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop trusted partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost analysis, inventory management, purchasing controls, and contract negotiations.
• Highly organized and analytical leader with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-touch luxury environment.
• Strategic and solutions-oriented decision-maker who can identify opportunities, challenge the status quo, and implement purchasing strategies that improve efficiency, quality, and business results.
