Job summary

The Peninsula Beverly Hills is seeking a seasoned Security Director to lead a highly professional team, protect guests and assets, and ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming experience across all touchpoints.

You will oversee security policies, incident response, and staff development in a luxury, multi-outlet environment with a strong emphasis on service excellence and discretion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security leadership in luxury hospitality.
• Experience overseeing security teams, scheduling and training.
• Strong knowledge of hotel security, safety, and incident response.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Excellent communication and guest service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily security operations and protect guests, colleagues, and hotel assets.
• Oversee security policies, access control, drills, emergency preparedness, and incident response programs.
• Lead incident investigations for guest, colleague, theft, medical, fire, and other emergencies.
• Support leadership development of the Security team, including scheduling, payroll, performance evaluations, training.
• Foster a collaborative security culture and maintain strong communication with hotel leadership.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist the Director of Security and Operational Risk in leading daily security operations, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors while protecting hotel assets.
• Oversee security policies, procedures, and programs, including master key controls, emergency preparedness, fire drills, safety initiatives, patrols, access control, and hotel lock and in-room safe systems.
• Lead incident response and investigations, addressing guest and colleague incidents, theft, accidents, medical emergencies, fire, disorderly conduct, bomb threats, civil disturbances, natural disasters, and other emergency situations.
• Support the leadership and development of the Security team, including scheduling, payroll, performance evaluations, training, daily documentation, coaching, and ensuring officers maintain the highest standards of professionalism and service.
• Foster a positive, collaborative security culture throughout the hotel by promoting teamwork, maintaining strong communication with hotel leadership and departments, and modeling exceptional judgment, discretion, and guest service.

General Requirements:

• 5+ years of security experience, with progressive leadership responsibility in a luxury hotel, hospitality, or similarly complex environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing security teams, including scheduling, training, performance management, and daily operations.
• Strong knowledge of hotel security, safety, emergency preparedness, and incident response, with the ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, with the ability to respond effectively to medical and emergency situations.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a professional, discreet, service-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and hotel leadership.
