Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas seeks a Senior Sourcing Manager to build relationships across the system and drive sourcing efficiencies. You will manage multiple commodities, lead RFI/RFP processes, and negotiate contracts.

Strong analytics, change management, and executive communication are essential. You will lead a team including a Sourcing Manager and report to Strategic Sourcing leadership to deliver strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of procurement/sourcing experience.

JOB SUMMARY: By working with key stakeholders across multiple functions within the Health System, this team member will work to develop relationships across the system in order to drive efficiencies and identify areas where sourcing could provide a strong benefit to the company. The ability to manage multiple commodities through analytics and leadership, will be beneficial as this person launches new initiatives and ensures success of existing contracts.

WHAT IS EXPECTED (Essential Functions)

• Communicate with cross-functional teams to identify potential sourcing projects and build stakeholder collaboration.
• Develops and implements effective sourcing strategies.
• Prioritizes projects for assigned commodities, leads strategy development, manages RFI and RFP processes, leads negotiations and ensures contract completion.
• Comfortable working in high pressure situations with tight deadlines
• Experienced in communication with executive level employees
• Lead a team consisting of a Sourcing Manager
• Must have experience in change management with a large organization
• Provides ongoing communication to Supply Chain leadership and stakeholders on activities and status.
• Develops vendor management strategy and performance scorecard.
• Monitors and manages performance with support of Strategic Sourcing Director.
• Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, And ABILITIES

• Exceptional relationship building, interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
• Experienced in managing Indirect Spend and Contracting with preferred emphasis on Construction, Hospitality Services and Facilities Management
• Extensive experience in leading negotiations on highly complex service agreements is a must
• Strong analytical skills with ability to comb through large data sets to perform accurate feedback on financials
• Must possess ability to think strategically and translate implications of analyses into sourcing strategies.
• Strong knowledge of assigned commodities and materials management principles and practices.
• Experienced in developing and motivating cohort to improve effectiveness of team.
• Must be comfortable with conflict and willing to challenge conventional thinking, even from senior level management.
