Job summary

State of Colorado's Office of Children, Aging and Community Services seeks a Communications Lead to plan and execute comprehensive OCACS communications strategies. You will design campaigns, create promotional materials, and coordinate internal and external messaging for diverse stakeholders.

You will supervise a team, develop annual communication plans, and ensure messaging aligns with department goals. Occasional travel within Colorado is required, with a hybrid 2–3 days in-office schedule.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of relevant experience developing organizational communications strategies across platforms.
• Experience managing marketing campaigns, budgeting, and media relations including press materials.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements OCACS Communications strategies and initiatives, including website and social media.
• Drafts and edits talking points, presentations, and department-wide communications.
• Leads recruitment, outreach, and retention communications to raise awareness of child abuse prevention and foster/adoptive families.
• Coordinates with CDHS Communications and other partners to ensure compliant messaging.
