Job summary

Goldberg Companies/GCI Residential seeks a Maintenance Director for Cobblestone Court in Painesville, OH. You will lead the maintenance team, ensure a safe, clean, and attractive living environment, and deliver high-quality customer service to residents.

Requires 5–7 years of supervisory maintenance experience across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC, plus CFC Type II. Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and HVAC/CFC certifications are preferred. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Five to Seven years supervisory experience with hands-on maintenance in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Ability to use electronic communication professionally and efficiently.
• Dedication to exceeding customer needs and building relationships.
• Demonstrate thoroughness, self-motivation and organization in task completion.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees maintenance to ensure residents have a clean, safe, and attractive place to live.
• Oversees maintenance tasks to meet standards and provide high-quality service for resident retention.
• Assists with hiring/training and evaluates suppliers for quality control.
• Collaborates with Regional Property Manager and Property Manager on resident issues and maintenance.
• Contributes to capital project management and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance across the portfolio to reduce unbudgeted repairs.
• Negotiates with vendors to reduce costs annually.
