Job summary

GCI Residential is seeking a Maintenance Director for Settler's Landing in Streetsboro, OH. You will lead the maintenance team to deliver safe, clean, and appealing living environments while upholding company standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance tasks, hiring and training staff, managing capital projects, and developing preventive programs to reduce repairs. Strong leadership and multi-trade experience required.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years supervisory experience in maintenance.
• Ability to use electronic communication professionally.
• Dedication to exceeding customer needs and building relationships.
• Thoroughness, self-motivation and organization.
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and on-call hours.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance department to keep property clean, safe, and attractive.
• Oversees and performs varied maintenance tasks to uphold property standards and service.
• Assists with hiring/training and preventive maintenance; evaluates suppliers.
• Collaborates with regional and property managers to resolve maintenance issues.
• Participates in capital projects, recommending and implementing improvements.
• Develops preventative maintenance programs to reduce unplanned repairs.
• Negotiates suppliers annually to reduce site costs.
