Ronald McDonald House Richmond seeks a Director of Program Operations to lead daily facilities, housekeeping, inventory and transportation for our program spaces. The Director of Program Operations oversees the day-to-day operations of Ronald McDonald House Richmond program spaces, including facilities, housekeeping, inventory and supply management, transportation, and maintenance coordination. This role ensures the House operates efficiently while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for families, staff, volunteers, and visitors. This role also coordinates the transportation of program inventory and guest families, ensuring these services are reliable, organized, and responsive to the needs of the Houses and Family Rooms.

Serves as a leader on the Operations Team, contributing to team communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and the successful implementation of program goals and operations.
Works closely with the Chief Program Officer to manage the Operations budget, including monitoring expenses and ensuring responsible and cost-effective use of organizational resources.
Coordinates day-to-day facility operations to ensure the Houses remains clean, safe, functional, welcoming, and well-maintained, in alignment with Ronald McDonald House Global Standards.
Conducts routine inspections of guest rooms, common areas, offices, kitchen, and exterior spaces to identify maintenance, safety, housekeeping, and operational concerns.
Coordinates preventive maintenance, repairs, and specialized work with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption to operations while maintaining Ronald McDonald House Global Standards.
Manages the House’s inventory system, ensuring accurate records, proper tracking and distribution, and appropriate stock levels.
Oversees procurement of housekeeping, maintenance, and program supplies, monitoring usage, placing timely orders, and coordinating receipt and storage.
Establishes and maintains organized inventory and storage practices to minimize waste, prevent shortages, and ensure staff and volunteers have timely access to necessary supplies.
Collaborates with the Program Managers to support operational functions, including room readiness, transportation needs, and volunteer tasks.
Provides backup coverage for program spaces as needed, including House coverage, housekeeping assistance, supply distribution, and other operational support to ensure uninterrupted program operations.
Trains and oversees volunteers supporting facility operations, ensuring volunteers understand their responsibilities and have the resources and guidance needed to be successful.
Supports operational and facility-related volunteer activities, coordinating logistics and ensuring projects are completed safely and effectively.
Works closely with the Community Engagement Manager to ensure meal volunteers are appropriately oriented to the kitchen space and that the kitchen is clean, organized, and ready for meal volunteers in accordance with applicable food safety standards.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities or Hospitality Management, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be substituted for education.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a nonprofit, operations, hospitality, property management, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and database or inventory management systems.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
$70,000 – $80,000 / year
