Director of Product Operations & Delivery

Candid is a nonprofit providing comprehensive data and insights about the social sector. We aim to equip you with the information needed to do good. We are seeking a Director of Product Operations and Delivery to lead our transformation into modern product management and delivery practices. This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to release, working closely with product managers, leadership, engineering, marketing, and growth teams to ensure effective communication and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in product management processes, including discovery, design, prototyping, validation, and release. Familiarity with frameworks like those from the Silicon Valley Product Group and Marty Cagan's writings is preferred. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, coaching abilities, curiosity, flexibility, and proactive engagement.

Position: Director of Product Operations and Delivery

Reporting to: VP of Product Management

Schedule: 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday

Compensation: $130,000-$190,000 (adjusted for location and experience)

Location: Remote, with in-person attendance during an annual summit, quarterly meetings, and monthly executive team meetings. Travel required for non-NYC staff.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Candid’s adoption of best practices in product management, including defining methodologies, training, and coaching.
• Ensure cross-team compliance and organize product management artifacts and rituals.
• Monitor and report on product performance metrics, managing feedback and resolution processes.
• Oversee release planning, scheduling, and communication, including maintaining roadmaps and mitigating risks.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to align organizational goals and product strategies.
• Create documentation plans, recommend Jira best practices, and resolve operational misalignments.
• Coordinate company-wide communications on product initiatives and maintain process metrics dashboards.

Requirements:

• 7+ years in product management, preferably with SaaS experience
• Proven expertise in modern product practices, release management, and high-user SaaS deployments
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Expertise in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), familiarity with feature flags (DevCycle preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• Accountability, rule enforcement, and commitment to diversity and inclusion
