Job description

Product Manager II – Internal Content Platform

Location: Remote (Flexible for Global Time Zones, including Shanghai, Mexico, and Singapore overlap)

Duration: 1-year contract

We are seeking an innovative Product Manager to lead feature development, optimize user experiences, and collaborate across international teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly interact with customers, generating and prioritizing customer requirements based on their needs.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive activities, predicting short-term market changes and their implications for the product.
  • Continuously strive to meet customer expectations without compromising commercial viability.
  • Actively gather and interpret data from multiple sources, including customer feedback, market analysis, and sales figures, to drive effective solutions to business problems.
  • Make informed trade-off decisions between potential product capabilities and evaluate product hypotheses quantitatively, including A/B testing for interactive products.
  • Manage day-to-day issues and problems independently, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Generate new ideas by analyzing product data for actionable insights.
  • Support the go-to-market strategy by clearly communicating customer requirements and timelines to all stakeholders.
  • Assist with launch plans through coordinated development efforts with external customer-facing teams such as marketing and sales.
  • Answer sales and customer questions regarding feature function, pricing, packaging, value proposition, and competition.
  • Offer Train-the-Trainer sessions to support operations during market rollouts and assist in developing collateral for sales demonstrations and customer events.
  • Outline key milestones, outcomes, and deliverables during go-to-market and product strategy planning.
  • Solve customer issues with product features that achieve business goals and metrics.
  • Develop a deep understanding of your feature area and create prototypes.
  • Participate in product discovery, according to defined process, for new product development.
  • Manage portions of the product lifecycle.
  • Be familiar with SDLCs as identified by management for example agile processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of UK legal content.
  • Legal editorial experience.
  • Content as a Service (CaaS) experience is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and soft skills. You will be expected to present to leadership and collaborate closely with engineering teams in Shanghai, Mexico, and potentially other regions.
  • Comfortable working across global time zones, including significant overlap with Shanghai, Mexico, and Singapore hours.
  • Proficient in various technologies to assist day-to-day tasks, including Excel, Balsamiq, Tableau, Python, and SQL.
  • A firm grasp of data and technical architecture principles and best practices.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of Product Management experience.
  • Recognized as a full owner of a product or multiple features.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, lead, and release changes or enhancements that improved customer satisfaction and/or commercial impact.
  • Thorough product development knowledge, including the ability to develop related business cases, content, and product plans.
  • Successful participation in customer engagements.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical subject (Computer Science or Engineering discipline) is preferred, but not essential.
