Job summary

JCPenney in Dallas, TX seeks a Director of Product Integrity to lead governance and execution of quality, compliance, and safety initiatives across the retail product portfolio. This role partners with Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, Legal, and Supply Chain to protect the brand and drive customer trust.

You will mentor a cross-functional team and report to executive leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across global suppliers and product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in product integrity, quality assurance, compliance, or technical product leadership, preferably in retail, apparel or consumer goods.
• Proven track record of leading large teams and managing global supplier relationships.
• Strong knowledge of global regulatory standards (CPSC, CPSIA, REACH, Prop 65, etc.).
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive change in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee the product integrity framework, including quality standards, testing protocols, and inspection processes.
• Ensure compliance with all global product safety regulations, labeling laws, and industry standards.
• Lead corrective action programs to address quality or compliance issues swiftly and effectively.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of quality, compliance, and technical experts.
• Provide executive-level insights on product integrity risks, opportunities, and performance metrics.
• Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to monitor regulatory changes and industry developments.
