Job summary

JCPenney seeks a Digital Senior Specialist – Taxonomy & Product Data Governance in Dallas, TX. This role maintains and optimizes product taxonomy, attributes, and data structures to support digital commerce, PIM, marketplace, CMS, and search, ensuring data accuracy and AI readiness.

You will partner with Digital Merchants and cross-functional teams to improve product discoverability, search relevance, and the customer experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3–5 years experience in ecommerce, taxonomy, or product data governance.
Experience with PIM, marketplace category mapping, CMS content modeling, or search tools.
Strong analytical skills and comfort with large datasets.
Excellent communication and high attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

Maintain and optimize product taxonomy, attributes, and category structures across systems.
Create and govern new categories and attributes per standards.
Support AI classification, enrichment, and automation with structured data.
Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketplace, Content, and Search teams to improve navigation.
Review site performance and analytics to identify taxonomy issues and opportunities.
Identify system enhancements and work with technical teams to improve data quality and workflows.
