Position Overview

Are You a Strategic Product Leader Who Knows How to Build What Customers Want?

If you have a passion for health and wellness, know how to bring high-impact supplement products to market, and thrive at the intersection of innovation and execution, this role is for you.

At Rain Media, we’re looking for a Director of Product who understands how to drive growth through product development, not someone who simply executes R&D, but someone who identifies what the market wants, vets and works with top-tier manufacturers, and brings high-converting products to life.

You’ll collaborate across marketing, supply chain, and creative teams to develop supplements and physical products that don’t just look good on a shelf, but that drive real demand, conversions, and LTV. This is a marketing-centric product development role, not a lab-based technical R&D role, though familiarity with formulation and manufacturing is essential.

If you're energized by creating category-defining products and taking full ownership from concept to launch, keep reading. If you prefer to only follow directions or need hand-holding to move forward, this role won’t be the right fit.

Who we are: Organics Ocean

We are a premium direct-to-consumer supplement brand helping people live healthier lives through science-backed, clean, and effective products.

We’re not a company where things stay the same. We test, we optimize, we innovate—and we want someone who thrives in that kind of high-accountability, fast-paced environment.

Why join our team?

High-growth eCommerce brand: Driven by innovation and fast execution, Organics Ocean has seen 350% year-over-year growth.

Ownership & Accountability: We trust our team members to take full ownership of their responsibilities. You are empowered to lead, execute, and improve without micromanagement. We value individuals who take initiative, hold themselves accountable, and drive meaningful results.

A team of high performers: We push boundaries, move fast, and get things done. The company is in a hockey stick growth phase. This is not a good fit for those who don’t want to grow.

Responsibilities (tasks associated with the role)

  • Own the product roadmap from concept through launch—aligned with market trends, brand positioning, and customer acquisition opportunities
  • Identify whitespace and develop ideas for new products, formulations, and line extensions
  • Conduct light market research, competitor analysis, and customer insight work to validate product-market fit
  • Work with manufacturers and suppliers to develop supplement formulas and identify quality, differentiated ingredients
  • Vet new suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and contract manufacturing—ensuring cost, quality, and reliability meet our standards
  • Partner with the supply chain team to manage timelines, lead times, and inventory planning for new product launches

Packaging, Inserts & CX Touchpoints

  • Own decisions related to packaging design, unboxing experience, and inserts that enhance the customer journey and reinforce brand values
  • Collaborate with creative and CX teams to ensure packaging aligns with marketing goals and customer perception

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with media buyers, marketing strategists, and creative leads to ensure new products support growth objectives
  • Coordinate with supply chain and finance departments to align on cost structure, feasibility, and go-to-market plans
  • Support conversations around packaging innovation, like alternative containers or fulfillment constraints

Project Management & Execution

  • Manage timelines and deliverables across multiple product launches in parallel
  • Track pricing, margin, compliance, and ingredient availability to ensure each launch is viable and successful
  • Maintain accountability to deadlines and ensure handoffs between departments happen smoothly

Requirements (expected proficiencies to excel in this role)

  • 5+ years of experience in product development, ideally in supplements, wellness, or CPG
  • 2 + years leadership experience
  • Proven track record of launching successful consumer products, from idea to commercialization
  • Strong understanding of supplement formulation and sourcing (does not need to be a scientist, but must speak the language)
  • Experience working with manufacturers, negotiating pricing, and managing production timelines
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive projects forward without micromanagement
  • High attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to juggle multiple initiatives at once
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with high expectations

Preferred Location:

  • Phoenix is preferred, followed by Portland/Vancouver, or Southern California
  • Open to remote for the right candidate located within the Pacific Standard Time Zone.

Additional requirements:

  • Willingness to work US time zones, regardless of geographic location.
  • Access to a computer
  • Reliable internet connection
  • Reliable and distraction-free work environment
  • Some travel, amount dependent on the ultimate location of the candidate to future home office
  • This is a full-time, remote, W-2 employee position. Pay is $115,000–$135,000/year based on experience.
  • 10 days of PTO + 6 holidays

About Organics Ocean

To learn the founder’s story and more about Organics Ocean, visit the website.

The company is a place for innovation. Team roles and responsibilities are clear, and the passion of being a part of something bigger than one’s self is shared among everyone. The environment is casual, but the work is serious. Riding this wave of growth only works with A-Players on the team, and that is what everyone is: an A-Player.

  • Accountability: Take full ownership of your responsibilities and their outcomes. You commit to seeing tasks through, accepting both successes and failures as your own, and continuously learning and improving along the way.
  • Attention to Detail: We are fully focused on the task at hand. In eCommerce, every action has a ripple effect—one mistake can impact the entire process. By carefully attending to your work, you ensure that each detail contributes to the success of the whole.
  • Honesty & Trust: We are transparent, even when it's difficult. Speaking up about hard truths, especially when mistakes are made, helps us address issues before they become bigger problems. As a company, we need to know the challenges in order to fix them. Avoiding the truth only allows issues to fester and harm the company in the long run.
  • Innovation: We are continuously pushing the boundaries and exploring new ideas. We're not tied to the status quo—if you see an opportunity for improvement, speak up. We value and encourage fresh thinking to drive the company forward.
  • Move Fast and Persevere: We push forward with speed and determination, even when things get tough. In the fast-paced world of e-commerce and startups, challenges are inevitable. Success comes from acting quickly, adapting, and staying resilient when obstacles arise. We don’t slow down when things get hard—we press through and keep moving forward.
