Director, Product Development (Must live in the USA)

Position Overview:

In this dynamic and strategic role, the Director of Product Development will report directly to the Founder/CEO and oversee the end-to-end development, management, and execution of the company’s dietary supplement product portfolio. This key position will play a vital role in shaping the direction of the company’s product strategy. The Director will work closely with R&D, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to drive effective product positioning and market success. By leading cross-functional collaboration, the Director of Product Development will ensure alignment with business objectives, delivering innovative solutions that meet or exceed customer, and market demands while fueling revenue growth.

Objectives & Qualifications:

• Oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to launch and beyond.

• Manage and improve existing and new dietary supplement flavor, capsule, powder, gummy, and chewable.

• Manage and direct benchtop experiments, generating samples of new product development and operational goals.

• Collaborate with food scientists to plan and execute product development projects.

• Oversee comprehensive research on emerging technologies, conceptualize innovative ideas.

• Collaborate with R&D teams ensuring quality assessments to measure progress.

• Train and manage product development team.

• Troubleshoot any product issues.

• Manage request for quotes formulas, dose specs, product labels, and change orders.

• Monitor market trends and competitor activity.

• Present solid dose product concepts to the sales team, clients, and customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree required in related field.

• 5-10 years of experience with dietary supplement product development in a leadership role.

• Understands the operation of all development, testing, and production equipment.

• Strong knowledge of Scientific method.

• Proven background in a laboratory/production setting.

• Strong understanding of regulatory laws and standards.

• Possess excellent analytical skills, facilitating the development and reporting of KPI’s

• Strategically manage with a sense of urgency ensuring timely product development while producing quality products.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
