Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Director of Product to join a growing client in the life insurance industry in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. This role sits onsite 3 days per week and offers hybrid work arrangements.

The successful candidate will lead product strategy and execution, drive cross-functional collaboration with executives, technology, operations, and business stakeholders, and mentor a high-performing product team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience with progressive leadership.
• Strong background in life insurance, including product development.

Piper Companies is seeking a Director of Product to join a growing, award-winning client in the life insurance industry in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. The Director of Product role requires you to sit onsite 3 days per week. The Director of Product role is ideal for an experienced product leader with a strong life insurance background, a passion for customer-centric innovation, and a proven ability to drive product strategy and execution.

Responsibilities of the Director of Product include:

• Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy across life insurance product offerings.
• Partner with executive leadership, technology, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative customer solutions.
• Lead and mentor a team of product professionals while fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
• Utilize market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and enhance product performance.
• Oversee the full product lifecycle, ensuring successful development, launch, and ongoing optimization of insurance products.

Requirements of the Director of Product include:

• 8+ years of product management experience, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Strong background within the life insurance industry, including product development and market strategy.
• Proven ability to develop and execute product roadmaps that align with business objectives.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile and fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.

Compensation for the Director of Product include:

• $140,000 - $180,000 annually
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
• Hybrid work environment with 3 days onsite per week.
