Blue Energy, based in Chevy Chase, MD, seeks a Director of Procurement to own the day-to-day procurement engine, spanning requisition-to-PO execution, expediting, onboarding, and the data systems that ensure fast, compliant, auditable purchasing.

This highly operational, systems-driven role builds scalable P2P processes for materials and services, maintains supplier performance visibility across a global base, and partners with Legal and project stakeholders on terms and contracts.

Formación

• 10+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain operations, or procurement systems in industrial or capital-project environments.
• Strong hands-on capability in transactional procurement: requisition-to-PO, expediting, receiving, and invoice resolution.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/JD Edwards) and eSourcing tools (Ariba/Coupa/Ivalua).
• Ability to negotiate terms and coordinate with Legal on complex contracts.
• Proven ability to build and lead a purchasing/procurement team and work cross-functionally across engineering, QA, finance, and operations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead procure-to-pay execution for materials, services, and subcontracts; convert requisitions to POs and manage expediting and closeout.
• Run RFQs, evaluate suppliers, and perform bid tabulations and cost evaluations.
• Translate drawings/specifications into clear purchase requirements and delivery plans.
• Drive invoice and payment readiness and resolve three-way match issues with Finance.
• Oversee supplier onboarding, qualification, and compliance, including QA/regulatory alignment.
• Support commercial negotiations and framework agreements with Legal and stakeholders.
• Build and govern master data for suppliers, items, pricing, and codes.
• Lead and coach the procurement operations team; coordinate with cross-functional partners.
