Harvard University’s American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) is seeking a Director of Event Sales and Rentals to create and drive a strategic private events and hospitality program. You will collaborate with senior leadership, manage space availability, and shape pricing with cross‑functional teams to maximize utilization of the Goel Center.

You will lead event planning, staffing, budgeting, and vendor relations to deliver exceptional experiences while advancing the A.R.T.’s mission and programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and experience.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; experience with event management software.

Responsabilités

• Develop a strategic earned income model around event rentals and hospitality.
• Plan and execute events working with programmatic use of the building and cross‑functionally with arts, development, production and marketing teams.
• Manage negotiations, contracts and client/vendor relationships for private events.
• Lead a small team of event staff and ensure top‑level hospitality and customer service.
