Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ is seeking a Director of Patient Intelligence Lead to advance predictive patient analytics capabilities and deliver modular analytics products across brands. The role reports to the Executive Director and collaborates with Commercial Tech, Market Engagement, and Brand teams to ensure data quality and scalable solutions.

The candidate will drive visualization, storytelling, and leadership of a high-performing analytics function within the DHH Patient Capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 10+ years of analytics, data science, or predictive modeling in pharma/healthcare.
• Extensive hands-on experience with patient-level healthcare data sets (claims, EHR/EMR, Rx data).
• Ability to productize analytics into scalable, repeatable data products or modular capabilities.
• Strong proficiency in data visualization and translating data into strategic business recommendations for non-technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of predictive patient analytics models and products.
• Architect and build scalable, modular analytics products across brands within the portfolio.
• Oversee data visualizations and storytelling for stakeholders (commercial, marketing, access).
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance and quality to support advanced analytics.
• Mentor data professionals and establish best practices for patient analytics.
