Tiello is seeking a Director of Preconstruction (Underground Wet Utilities) in Phoenix, AZ, with compensation ranging from $175,000 to $215,000. The role requires a track record of estimating for underground/wet utilities and leading a preconstruction team within a civil or heavy civil context.

The successful candidate will oversee budgets, pricing, and procurement, while growing relationships with municipalities and clients, and delivering value-engineered solutions for complex projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating projects in Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Earthworks or Heavy Civil sectors.
• Experience estimating public projects focused on underground utilities and heavy civil infrastructure.
• Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Preconstruction Team and oversee senior estimators and take-off technicians.
• Develop budgets, contract prices, and material/labor estimates.
• Negotiate cost-effective contracts and material purchases.
• Foster relationships with municipalities and clients; manage the preconstruction pipeline.
• Provide value-engineered solutions and maintain client and contractor relations.

Company Overview:

Tiello is partnered with a highly regarded Speciality Underground Utility Contractor based inPhoenix, AZ, in their search for a Director of Preconstruction (Wet Underground Utilities)to supportand grow their Underground Wet Utility Construction Operations.

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have10+ yearsof experience inthe Underground Utility, Civil, or Heavy Civil Construction Industryand will be responsible for Estimating successful large and small, Underground Wet Utility Municipality projects.

Underground Pipelines, CMAR, Utilities, Wet Utilities, Heavy Civil Projects, Storm, Sewer, Water

Job Responsibilities:

• Able to perform all essential Director of Preconstruction job responsibilities
• Lead the Preconstruction Team of Senior Estimators, Estimators, Take-off Technicians
• Estimate and establish budgets and contract price
• Develop Accurate Material, Equipment, and Labor Estimates
• Negotiate cost-effective contract and material purchases
• Develop, Grow, and Maintain professional relationships with Municipalities
• Take ownership of the Preconstruction Pipeline
• Provide the client with value-engineered solutions when applicable
• Develop strong working relationships with Clientele and Contractors

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 10+ years Estimating projects for reputable Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Earthworks, or Heavy Civil contractors
• Experience Estimating Public Projects focused on Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Heavy Civil Projects, Underground Pipelines, Utilities, Wet Utilities, Heavy Civil Projects, Storm, Sewer, Water
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related preferred, or equivalent field experience.
