Job summary

Austin Commercial in Orlando, FL is seeking a Director of Preconstruction for the Southeast Division. Lead the preconstruction team and coordinate estimators, schedulers, project managers, MEP and BIM managers to deliver comprehensive preconstruction services and accurate budgets.

This on-site leadership role requires a BS in construction management and 20+ years of GC experience, with a track record of building relationships with clients, subcontractors, and MWBE objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in construction management or related degree.
• 20+ years’ experience working for a GC on large, commercial construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing a preconstruction department for a large GC.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the preconstruction team ensuring collaboration and responsiveness.
• Review deliverables and track commitments across stakeholders.
• Coordinate with PMs, schedulers, estimators, BIM managers, LEED professionals.
• Develop and maintain preconstruction schedules and constructability reviews.
• Support business development and maintain client relationships.
