Lochridge-Priest Inc. seeks a Director of Preconstruction to lead estimating and preconstruction for commercial and industrial MEP projects.

You will guide bid strategy, constructability reviews, and budgets, coordinating with operations, project leadership, and trade partners to ensure profitable delivery. The role requires extensive experience in preconstruction leadership, strong communication, and a proven ability to manage complex bids and schedules while promoting safety and quality across

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Eight (8) or more years of progressive estimating or preconstruction experience.
• Experience leading preconstruction or estimating teams and managing complex bids and budgets.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Experience with value engineering, cost analysis, subcontractor and vendor negotiations, and preconstruction planning.
• Working knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, coach, and manage the estimating and preconstruction team with clear priorities and standards.
• Oversee preconstruction efforts for ground-up and commercial/industrial MEP projects from pursuit to award and handoff.
• Direct preparation and review of conceptual estimates, detailed takeoffs, pricing, budgets, bid packages, and proposals.
• Review drawings, specs, addenda, contracts, and project requirements for scope gaps and risks.
• Collaborate with Operations and field leadership on labor, methods, schedules, and logistics.
• Lead bid reviews, bid strategy, and pricing recommendations with leadership.
• Develop relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, and subs.
• Coordinate value engineering and cost-saving recommendations while maintaining quality.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier outreach, bid leveling, and procurement support.
• Establish preliminary budgets and milestone schedules with project teams.
• Ensure timely handoff of estimates, clarifications, and commitments to operations.
• Promote safety and quality in preconstruction planning and site logistics.
• Monitor estimating performance and identify lessons learned to improve tools and workflows.
