Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a seasoned Portfolio Manager (Director Program/Project Management) to lead a complex, multi-functional portfolio within Advisor Services. You will oversee health, planning, investment, and execution, partnering with senior business and technology leaders to drive strategy and measurable outcomes.

You will guide teams, balance demand with capacity, and bring transparency to costs, dependencies, and performance, fostering accountability and continuous improvement across

Qualifications

• 12+ years of program or project leadership experience managing multiple large, complex, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience managing $15+ million annually in program or project work.
• Recent direct people-management experience, including 4+ employees and responsibility for objectives, feedback, development, and performance reviews.
• Demonstrated project management and leadership skills that drive consistent execution, quality documentation, and successful business outcomes.
• Strong risk management, problem solving, and decision-making skills, including the ability to develop and adjust mitigation plans as conditions change.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business and technology leaders, communicate challenging messages clearly, and influence portfolio trade-off decisions.
• Strong business and technology acumen with the ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
