Base pay range

$250,000.00/yr - $251,000.00/yr

Title: Director of Platform Engineering

Location: Remote - must site in EST or CST

Duration: Permanent

Compensation: $250,000 Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and cloud technologies with 5+ years of significant leadership experience managing cross-functional engineering teams
• Backend development using .NET and .NET Core with C#
• Expertise in Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Storage) and a strong understanding of Azure security measures (identity management, access control, data protection)
• Database technologies like SQL Server and Cosmos DB, emphasizing optimized data storage and retrieval in cloud environments
• Solid grasp of RESTful services and API design, adhering to best practices for performance and security
• Modern software development practices, including Agile methodology and continuous delivery, essential for developing secure, scalable, and optimized cloud-native applications

The Director of Digital Platform Engineering will have a proven track record of leading large-scale transformation initiatives and managing cross-functional engineering teams. The candidate must have experience building scalable front-end applications using React, focusing on component-based architecture and state management. They should be skilled in evaluating emerging technologies and integrating them into a platform strategy to drive innovation across the enterprise. The director will create and communicate a clear vision for platform engineering strategy, aligning it with business objectives. Expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure Storage, is essential, along with a strong understanding of Azure security measures such as identity management, access control, and data protection. The candidate should have experience with modern software development practices, including Agile and continuous delivery, and be proficient in database technologies like SQL Server and Cosmos DB, optimizing data storage and retrieval in cloud environments. Strong knowledge of RESTful services and API design, including best practices for performance and security, is required, as well as expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing applications on Azure for
