Job summary

DataVisor, a next-generation SaaS company in Mountain View, seeks a Director of Engineering to lead Platform Engineering. You’ll guide the AI-based fraud and risk decision platform, enabling real-time and batch decisioning at enterprise scale.

You will build and grow a high-performing team, set technical direction, and collaborate with product, data science, infra, and executives to shape a next-generation AI agent-driven infrastructure and robust data pipelines.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field; MS/PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of software development, incl. leading engineering teams.
• 5+ years managing teams and senior engineers/managers.
• Fluent in Java or C++, with Python knowledge; scalable distributed systems.
• Strong background in AI/ML concepts; production ML experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AI systems, LLM-powered apps, prompts and agent-based design.
• Experience with AI-enabled products and data-intensive platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define Strategy & Roadmap: set the technical vision and execution roadmap for the Platform Engineering team in alignment with company priorities and long-term product strategy.
• Lead at Scale: build, manage, coach, and grow a high-performing team of engineers and engineering leaders, fostering technical excellence, strong execution, and career development.
• Architect & Deliver: oversee the design and delivery of a large-scale AI-based fraud platform for real-time and batch decisioning.
• Drive Innovation in Fraud Detection: collaborate with data science to apply AI methods to detect fraudulent behavior.
• Unify Decisioning: lead real-time and batch decisioning across enterprise-scale platforms.
• Scale Infrastructure: guide distributed, real-time data systems with low latency and high reliability.
• Leverage Big Data: drive use of Spark, Flink, Cassandra, Kafka for ML pipelines.
• Partner Cross-Functionally: work with product, infra, security, and exec leadership to align delivery with business needs.
• Raise the Bar: establish robust processes, reviews, and high-quality development practices.
• Hire & Develop Talent: attract top engineers and foster a growth-focused, accountable culture.
