Job summary

The Springs Living, LLC in Whitefish, MT is seeking an experienced Director of Plant Operations for a combined Assisted Living & Memory Care community. The role focuses on leading maintenance, housekeeping, and systems across a senior housing campus with a commitment to compassionate quality care.

The ideal candidate will manage staff, coordinate repairs, ensure safety protocols, and optimize budgets while supporting a warm, patient-centered environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Previous professional maintenance experience.
• Maintains current and appropriate driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables.
• Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, databases, word processing, spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility exterior daily, including buildings, lawns, beds, walkways, driveways and parking areas.
• Maintains interior facilities and common areas, including resident apartments and offices.
• Interviews, hires, supervises and supports reporting positions.
• Repairs facility equipment or coordinates repairs with contractors.
• Ensures safe storage of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Acts as contact for resident/employee tech issues and campus systems.
• Participates in facility emergency preparation and response activities, including fire safety.
• Orders maintenance and housekeeping supplies within budget.

Job Description
The Springs at Whitefish is currently seeking an experienced Director of Plant Operations for our Assisted Living & Memory Care community. Our setting is unique and our commitment to compassionate quality care is truly distinctive.

Responsibilities include:

• Assures proper and consistent daily maintenance of facility exterior, including building, lawn, plant and/or flower beds, walkways, driveways, and parking lot, by performing or supervising maintenance tasks or facilitating such performance by contracted maintenance services personnel.
• Assures proper and consistent daily maintenance and housekeeping of facility interior, including resident apartments, common areas, offices, storage rooms, and kitchen, by performing or supervising maintenance tasks or facilitating such performance by contracted maintenance services personnel.
• Interviews, hires, supervises and supports reporting positions.
• Repairs facility equipment or facilitates repair by contracted maintenance services personnel.
• Assures all equipment and supplies related to maintenance tasks are stored appropriately and safely.
• Serves as the contact person for all resident/employee phone, cable and computer issues, security camera, door locks, Ciscor and any other campus-wide systems.
• Performs duties associated with facility emergency preparation and response systems, including but not limited to fire safety.
• Orders maintenance and housekeeping equipment and supplies, adhering to department budgets.

The ideal candidate is friendly, observant, and flexible, with a team player mentality.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Experience in senior housing is preferred
