Job summary

Gifthealth is seeking a Director of Pharmacy Procurement to lead sourcing, contracting, and management of our pharmaceutical supply chain powering patient care. You will own relationships with manufacturers and large distributors, set pricing strategy, and ensure uninterrupted supply across the prescription journey.

You will partner with clinical, pharmacy operations, and finance teams to forecast demand, prevent stockouts, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of pharma/healthcare procurement and supply chain experience.
• Deep knowledge of drug distribution, pricing, and regulatory requirements such as DSCSA and state pharmacy law.
• Proven track record managing vendor contracts and delivering measurable cost savings.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, pharmacy, or related field.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Interest in corporate procurement or strategic sourcing beyond drug supply chain.
• Contract and legal negotiation experience including MSAs, SOWs, and licensing terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing for medications with manufacturers and distributors.
• Build and manage partnerships with manufacturers and major distributors for priority allocation and favorable terms.
• Own the full RFP, negotiation, renewal, and vendor performance process.
• Partner with clinical, pharmacy operations, and finance to forecast demand and manage inventory.
• Ensure procurement practices meet DSCSA and state board requirements, including data privacy and insurance standards.
• Track drug pricing trends and supply constraints to adjust sourcing strategy.
• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing procurement team.
• Design forecasting models and dashboards to track supplier spend, inventory, and budgeting.
