Orion Placement seeks a Director of Pharmacy – Long-Term Care to lead day-to-day operations for a growing LTC pharmacy in Middletown, CT. You will oversee patient services, staff performance, and regulatory compliance on-site, shaping care quality and service delivery.

The role requires a Connecticut Pharmacist license with 5+ years of experience; long-term care exposure is preferred. Excellent leadership, clinical judgment, and relationship-building are essential, with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Pharmacist license in good standing.
• 5+ years of pharmacy experience.
• BS in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day to day pharmacy operations while ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant medication services.
• Coach and support pharmacy staff creating a collaborative, high performing environment.
• Maintain pharmacy compliance, quality standards, dispensing accuracy, and effective medication management processes.
• Build strong relationships with healthcare facilities, physicians, customers, and internal teams.
• Oversee workflow, staffing, inventory management, cost controls, and operational performance.
• Use sound clinical judgment to resolve pharmacy, patient care, and operational issues.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, customer service, efficiency, and pharmacy performance.
