Banner Health is seeking a Director of Perioperative Services to lead the operation of the perioperative unit across Banner University Medical Center Tucson and South Campus. The role emphasizes building relationships with leaders and staff to improve patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in health administration and 5–7 years of progressive management experience in an academic perioperative setting, plus strong communication and change leadership to drive safety,

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in business administration, health services administration or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive management experience.
• Ability to foster a collaborative work environment and build relationships with physicians, peers, and staff.

Responsabilités

• Lead perioperative services for Banner hospitals with oversight of intraoperative, peri-anesthesia, pre-admission testing, and sterile processing.
• Drive operational and financial performance to meet access, turnaround time, and cost targets.
• Ensure patient safety, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
• Oversee perioperative capital planning, including equipment refresh and new technology budgeting.
• Lead service line and program growth within surgical and procedural services.
• Oversee staff training and competency for specialized areas.
• Participate in perioperative quality and safety initiatives across the system.
• Collaborate with affiliated ambulatory centers to improve access to care.
• Manage vendor contracts and ensure surgeon preferences align with cost effectiveness.
