Job summary

Goodfire, a San Francisco-based research company, is hiring a Director of People Ops to scale the world-class AI research organization and build the People infrastructure from scratch.

You will own the systems, processes, and programs across hiring, compensation, onboarding, benefits, visa support, and employee experience, while reinforcing a high-performance culture and rigorous risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable People systems and processes.
• Proven ability to attract and build high-performing teams.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and empathy in people decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute People strategy across hiring, compensation, and employee experience as the company scales.
• Own compensation, leveling, and equity philosophy to attract and retain top talent.
• Manage full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding with a high-quality experience.
• Build scalable People systems and processes to support rapid growth.
• Lead benefits administration and vendor management.
• Oversee visa and immigration processes with external counsel.
